The 7000 square foot lodge was constructed in 2008 and offers amenities that are second to none. The lodge has 8 bedrooms off of the back porch facing into the courtyard. Two of these lodge rooms have two twin beds and handicapped accessible bathrooms. The other six lodge bedrooms have queen size beds each with a private bathroom.
The Murphy House, built in 1914 and moved to Sundown Farms in 2008, and restored for extra sleeping quarters. It sits just 50 yards away from the lodge on the edge of a 3 acre pond, and its large wraparound porch offers a very relaxing setting. The Murphy house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two bedrooms have king size beds and the other two have two queen size beds. The high ceilings and heart pine floors along with the bead board walls make guests feel they have stepped into another era.
Both the Murphy House and the Lodge have all been professionally decorated to ensure that guests are as comfortable as possible.
The lodge itself has a large dining and living room with comfortable seating around a huge fireplace on one end and dining on the other. Food is served family style on custom made heart pine tables. The commercial kitchen is a caterer’s delight, but hunters enjoy country fare cooked by Sundown’s own kitchen staff.
